Matt & Lynne’s wedding was easily one of the most unique wedding’s I’ve ever had the privilege of shooting! Now don’t expect clowns and acrobats or something–I said it was unique, not crazy. Lynne is a Chicago native, while Matt grew up in Oklahoma and currently lives in Chicago. They decided to have a destination-style wedding at the Post Oak Lodge (one of my all time favorite venues) near Tulsa this Spring.
They called it a “wedding adventure weekend” which was definitely an appropriate name! Friday night was an intimate dinner with their closest family and friends. Saturday they had adventure sports (zip-lining, rock climbing, etc) all day and a BBQ/bonfire/dance party that night. Then they woke up before the sun rose to get ready for their morning wedding and brunch reception on Sunday!
Brian and I had the pleasure of joining in on the BBQ/bonfire/dance party as well as the wedding! It ended up being colder than planned, but everyone had a great time catching up, eating great food, playing yard games, holding their mug of hot coffee or tea (or cold beer), and standing around the bonfire. That’s what I want to show you today! You’ll get to see their gorgeous wedding soon, but for now–the pre-wedding reception :)
Aren’t they the cutest?
