Hello there, friends!
I hope your holiday week(end) was relaxing and fun (and filled with mashed potatoes). If you’re like me, you know that it’s practically torture not to enter the Christmas spirit as soon as Halloween is over! The rest of the world may frown on this, but there is absolutely no denying that Christmas season officially starts after Thanksgiving is over. If you disagree with this, you’re a Scrooge and that’s that.
Today I’m excited to bring you some inspiration for your holiday shopping! I recently had the lovely opportunity to partner with my dear friend, Amanda of Amanda Moore Designs (AMD) and my friend, Emily, who is an ambassador for The Noonday Collection. We had lots of fun styling their clothing and accessories together for one big holiday inspiration shoot!
Both of these companies are passionate about helping other people and giving back to the community and the world we live in! I’m here to share a little about how that happens, and to give you some gift ideas for the lovelies (that includes you) in your life this year! Let’s start with Noonday–here’s a little excerpt from their website:
“Noonday Collection’s mission is to create economic opportunity for the vulnerable. We partner with artisans in the developing world, empowering them to grow sustainable businesses. By creating a marketplace for their goods, we create dignified jobs at living wages. This allows our artisans to earn more in order to support their families. We also offer no interest loans and make advance payments on orders. This way we are able to shoulder the costs of materials and build a lasting relationship based on trust. We offer scholarship programs and emergency assistance. Noonday Collection also donates a portion of sales from adoption trunk shows to place orphans in forever families.“
That’s seriously awesome! I fell in love with Noonday the moment I heard about them, and I’ve since purchased some of their amazing accessories. I love being able to tell their story every time someone mentions how cute my necklace or purse is! They also motivate me to wear more sparkle in my life….which is always a good thing.
Ok, now to Amanda. You guys have heard me talk about her (over and over again, right?!) on my blog before, because she is one of my dearest friends. It’s amazing to me to watch how the Lord has grown her company in the few short years it has existed, because I remember when it was just a dream we prayed about! Here’s a little about AMD said by Amanda herself:
“Amanda Moore Designs™ is a Christian-based company focusing on ministering to others by sharing the Gospel through fashion design. Embedded in the logo, the “M” loop creates a Christian fish symbol. Our designs are marketed toward all women-specializing in women’s apparel […] I hand sketch and design all garments. Fit, construction, and quality are techniques expressed through my garments. All original designs are proudly designed and MADE IN THE USA!“
Amanda’s heart for the Lord and for celebrating beauty is really amazing. She is one of the most talented people I know (not only did she design the clothes in this post, her handwriting is on the shirt below), and she’s also one of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met.
If you’re looking for some cute holiday outfit or gift ideas, look no further! I’ve included links to each of the AMD and Noonday pieces pictured throughout this post so you can find just what you’re looking for. Now shop away–and know that you’re helping out some pretty amazing people while you do so!
How adorable is Maddy’s outfit here?! I think it’s perfect for an ice-skating date, or just for getting some peppermint hot chocolate before shopping with your friends! (links: scarf, armwarmers, earrings, shirt)
Note: Maddy’s shirt is two sizes larger than she would normally order–these run a little small, so keep that in mind when ordering!
I’m definitely in love with this outfit–definitely. The slightly boho vibe is very “me,” right?
Both AMD and Noonday have some seriously great scarves. Kourtni modeled them for me below:
The blue and green scarf Maddy wore with the green sweater is AMD, and so is this amazing black and gold scarf she’s wearing below! (Insert heart eye emoji here)
How amazing is this purse?! Another note, Maddy’s dress is one size larger than she would normally get. It just fits her a little looser and longer here than it would if it was her size.
This dress is also adorable with a belt. This belt is actually a necklace that is amazingly versatile (not to mention perfect for holiday party)! We’ve styled it as a necklace in more photos below, so you can see it worn multiple ways.
For me, holiday outfits are all about incorporating sparkle. I paired one of Amanda’s tops with my favorite gold dress and this amazing necklace for an outfit I would definitely wear for Christmas or New Years!
This shirt is really versatile too! Below, Kourtni is wearing it tucked into a basic skirt with another statement necklace. Also, I always joke with Amanda that it’s so comfortable I would wear it to yoga class…because it’s true!
That gorgeous bracelet also comes in silver, by the way! Maddy’s wearing it with another one of Amanda’s beautiful tops and a simple necklace. This look is so beautiful for a winter date night or a Christmas party!
In case you’re more of a bright colors person, here’s a fun outfit idea for you! We styled it with simple gold jewelry first, and then with a basic black bracelet.
These kimonos are more comfortable than pajamas. Conveniently, you can also dress them up. Win win win.
I’m not sure I’d ever wear this many colored pieces of jewelry at once in real life, but I wanted to show you more of the loveliness that is Noonday. Also, this top may be my favorite of Amanda’s.
We’ll finished as all things should, with a berry crown. I dare you to sport this look at your next holiday get-together, I know I probably will!
Don’t forget to check out the rest of both Amanda Moore Designs and Noonday’s websites for more lovely finds! They both have some awesome sales right now, so there’re never been a better time to shop.
ps–a huge THANK YOU to Emily Winkle and Amanda Moore for lending me some of your pieces for this shoot! I owe you both ice cream :) Another huge thanks to Kourtni and Maddy for modeling, everything looks better on you two!
