As I mentioned last week, Valentine’s Day has never really been my thing. I don’t have anything specific against it, I’ve just never gotten into the idea. I’ll probably never turn down an excuse to go on adventure with my husband and/or my friends though, so I’m pretty happy that Valentine’s (or as we started calling it, “Pal-entine’s) Day can be that! Last year we had my best and her fiancè over for dinner, then went hiking and took their engagement photos the next day.
We had so much fun and such good weather last year, that I thought “why not try it again this year?” And thus, the camping/hiking tradition of Valentine’s Day was born. A couple of our friends joined us for some camping on Friday, then quite a few others came for an all-day hiking trip on Valentine’s Day! Oh, and I should mention that all of these photos were taken with my phone, which was actually a really fun challenge! Also, I’ve included some of Kourtni’s photos, which I’ve mentioned are hers throughout this post.
I’m 100% sure that this one will be framed in our house ^ that mug is from Blue7 by the way!
The photo of me with my coffee is also Kourtni’s! ^
It was pretty cool to have so many people I love on the top of a tiny mountain together.
^ This guy :)
^My hand…Kourtni’s photo haha
Thank you, self-timer, for helping us get a full group photo!
I’m clearly a selfie champion…
I LOVE this last photo Kourtni grabbed of us waiting in line to eat at Meer’s. The sign above us makes the shot, definitely.
What did you for Valentine’s Day? Tell me, tell me!
