This trip to Robber’s Cave State Park was probably the most low key of all our trips there. I think all of us just needed a break from life pretty desperately, so most of our time was spent relaxing and finding the beauty of a place that we’ve loved for 4 years now. Somehow we managed to fit 5 people and our massive amounts of stuff into one car, and we had a great time! April is looking like it will be the busiest month of 2015 for me (though October is shaping up to be a doozy already), so it was lovely to get a break in before the chaos begins. Last year I had lots of fun photographing our trip with my DSLR camera, but this year I mostly took phone photos. Maybe it was that I needed to just relax, or maybe it was because it was cloudy the whole time we were there, but most of these photos are from my phone! Also, some of them are Kourtni’s, because she takes really good photos.
Lots of blankets, food, and the soccer ball…you know, the essentials.
Please note Brian’s tiger shirt he picked up at Wal Mart on the way there. Goodness gracious. Also, here are the few that I grabbed with my nice camera–these are for my coffee wall!
We finally got to try out this cool grilled cheese maker thing that my aunt and uncle got us for Christmas! We love it guys, thanks!
^ The little bit of sunshine that showed up while we were there :)
^Have you read Bittersweet by Shauna Niequist? You should.
And of course, a group pic.
